When I wrote Casting Homeward, I wrote it for the times we’ve just passed through and the consequences of the choices of a critical mass of our national society and the global human race. Each book is a book for our times. They are far more than they may appear on the cover… each cover I have designed and embedded with symbolism and meaning. If you haven’t already read this book, I hope you will, and I hope you will decide to share it with those you love and respect.

While Casting Forward leaned heavily into how we might heal ourselves through a love and connection with nature, Casting Homeward dwells deeper into the possible path towards healing humanity, our country, and our homeland’s natural environment.

I believe that a writer who is serious about creating literature of meaning and lasting value must be bold and humble, honest and kind, brave and wise… to the best of their ability.

I have done my best.

From my humble perspective, we have entered the most significant “crossroad moment” of human existence. So far, we are failing the test. There’s still time for us to recognize that the answer to every question isn’t “me” … is “us.” And by “us” I mean all living beings human and nonhuman.

My next book will be released by Lyons Press in September of 2026. It is a book for our times steeped in meaning and purpose
